OS-9FL SURFACE AREA FLUOROMETER
DETERMINE CHLOROPHYLL FLUORESCENCE OVER THE SURFACE OF ONE OR SEVERAL SAMPLES WITH A SINGLE MEASUREMENT
Introducing a revolutionary chlorophyll fluorometer that can determine chlorophyll fluorescence over the surface
of one or several samples with a single measurement.
The OS9-FL provides accurate, repeatable overall surface area fluorescence measurements quickly and easily saving time, money, and aggravation.
The OS9-FL is an exceptional instrument for detailed non-destructive Post - Harvest Research and
Produce Quality Analysis Studies.
Chlorophyll Fluorescence is a simple non-invasive method used to determine health, performance, and status in plants, fruits, vegetables and even algae.
The OS9-FL is not only a research instrument it has many practical applications in crop breeding, production, and improvement programs.
The OS9-FL provides the essential analytical data to enhance produce performance, monitor and maintain optimal growth conditions, prevent irreversible crop damage, and study the effects of specific environmental stressors.
The OS9-FL can even be equipped with a gas exchange system to monitor atmospheric composition and it's effect on chlorophyll fluorescences. As a complete fluorescence and gas exchange system the OS9-FL provides exceptional monitoring and control over storage conditions, making it a superior tool for ensuring produce quality.
Using fluorescence to monitor produce quality has been common for some time now. However, previous methods for measuring fluorescence have been extremely labor intensive.
Surface variations require multiple measurements in order to accurately determine chlorophyll fluorescence. Such an approach not only limits the conditions under which a sample may be held, but also makes repeatability of measurements difficult and time consuming. By using the OS9-FL researchers and quality specialists can
easily obtain overall fluorescence measurements.
A single control unit may connect to multiple sensing triangles for large experiment setups. Triangle OS9-FL with Remote Control Software size can be configured as needed for a specific application. Operation is conducted by a standard PC running a Windows control program.

The OS9-FL can even conduct tests automatically for unattended analysis.
The pulse measurement principle used in other OSI products such as the OS5 and OS 1 series, has been ported over to this unit for a reliable, proven measurement base.
Enhancements include a radically new sensor configuration that surrounds the sample.
Multiple sensing panels, consisting of Emitter/Detector pairs and a saturation lamp, provide a widely encompassed view of the sample.
Signals from each panel are combined to generate an average value for the whole sample area.
This calculated average is a an accurate representation of overall area fluorescence.
